How we wish it gets scorched with the fire of our rage! kobita bikel presents a poetical representation of Rudro Muhammad Shahidullah’s much referenced poem “Harer-o Ghorkhani” that depicts the frustration and wrath of a generation.

‘Heroes of life’ is real life experiences of some incredible human beings who encounter hardship, suffering and struggles but always find their way to love and light. They belong to the lowest chunk of the society and their voices and stories remain unheard and undiscovered.
Akash tells human stories through lens and intends to be the voice of the voiceless. Born and brought up in Bangladesh, Akash has won over 80 international awards and his work has been featured in over 70 international publications, including The Guardian, Vogue, The Sunday Times, Marie Claire and The Economist to name a few.

KOBITA BIKEL (INC1800592) is an amateur ensemble, nurturing and upholding Bangla culture and literature though performance arts targeted towards Bangla speaking diaspora in inner western Sydney. The group runs quarterly indoor literary sessions, annual performing arts workshops, public performance and multicultural events with a vision to tell the stories of the migrants and their second generation as they work towards shaping up an intricate, global identity of their own.
